Unit 11: Project planning

1.) What are you planning to submit?

Me and my band are planning to submit a cd including 3 original tracks we have written together. We will track our progress through the project timetable that we have created individually

2.) What quality criteria are in place?

Make sure the audio files are 16 bit which is WAV or AFF. And make sure the photos are 1425x1425 pixels and 300 DPI saved in JPEG or PNG files.

3.) Who are the stakeholders?

The stakeholders include myself and the band, the lecturers and UAL.

4.) What risks you have identified? Are there steps you can take to proactively manage these?

One of the risks include procrastination where we may keep moving tasks around, the step we have taken to manage this is create a timetable to follow and encourage each other to do the work ready for each presentation milestone. Another risk could include a band member being unwell and missing days in college, in order to manage this, the rest of the band will just have to step in or possibly ask somebody in our class to fill in during recording. Another risk is the fact i am unable to do mixing and recording at home and only in college, so in order to have more time mixing and recording in college, I will have to do artwork, promotion, planning and research at home.

5.) Are the members of your bands aware of roles and responsibilities

Yes, we have had a long discussion on what roles are the biggest priorities and what responsibilities we have. We have made a plan on when we will record and what instruments we will record in order. And we have discussed how exactly we will make the cd's towards the end of the project.

6.) How are you going to manage the ongoing? What are the stage boundaries?

Everything will be managed by following the project plan above, and the boundries are making sure we follow and complete each week. The boudaries also include making the most of every recording session and getting as much done as we can in a short time frame.
